Rules, not per-user settings
An admin creates a rule for a Chat space, and that is the whole setup. Nobody else has to configure anything, sign in to Google or accept third-party cookies.
Jira updates, delivered into the Google Chat spaces your teams already use. A Jira admin sets up the rules once. Every issue gets one thread, so spaces stay readable. Setup is a pasted webhook and a test button, and takes a few minutes.

Pick what gets posted: new issues, comments, assignments, specific status changes such as In Review to Done, particular fields, particular people or groups, and an optional JQL filter for anything else.
Created, moved, commented on, done: everything about an issue lands in a single thread. Edits made within a few seconds of each other arrive as one card, not five.
Each card says who did what, by name, along with the current status, the assignee and a button that opens the issue in Jira.
Every rule keeps a log of what was sent, what was skipped and why. When Google rejects a message, you see its exact response, so there is no guessing.
Rules, webhook URLs and logs live in Forge storage inside your own Atlassian site. The only outside call ChatAspen makes is to Google Chat, to post the message.
Free for sites with up to 10 Jira users, as with every Marketplace app. On larger sites, one enabled rule stays free for as long as you like, so you can try it properly before paying anything.
Unlimited rules and spaces. Billed by Atlassian on its usual tiered scale, which works out at around $1 per user per month, with a 30-day free trial to start.
Email support with a reply within two business days, plus a public support page with the common questions and fixes, so you can often sort things out without waiting for us.
In Google Chat, open the space and go to Apps & integrations → Webhooks → Add. Copy the webhook URL.
In Jira, open Settings → Apps → ChatAspen and click New rule.
Choose the projects and events you want posted, and add any people or JQL filters.
Paste the webhook URL and press Send test message. A test card appears in the space.
Create the rule. From now on, matching Jira events post into the space, one thread per issue.
